Timbachem Jarrah Colorguard Plus?
I just purchased a set of jarrah patio furniture for SWMBO. Made by Jensen Jarrah, WA, very nice workmanship and price. Now that I have some jarrah I feel more like one of the guys around here. It came with a Liter tin of "Jarrah Colorguard Plus" made by Timbachem and simply reads, water based, oil finish with pigments to reisist UV damage. They recomend yearly applications. I tried their site to see what exactly is in this, I would like to find a local equivalent, they want $30 US a liter tin.
Thanks,
Rob

you might try asking them , having said that , not too many companys are gonna give their recipes away !Gotta admit though - water based and oil finish is not something I've heard of in the one sentence .

Timbachem's reply
Well, after finally finding their website, colourguard.com.au, they have told me that the product I have is the same as their jarrah oil and that I should follow their MSDS posted for that product. This MSDS mentions proper disposal to prevent spontaneous combustion but the directions on the can I have only mention the need to clean up with water. Seems to me they should upgrade the cans directions.

PS I'll be able to give you a review of the product soon as the color is already starting to fade and SWMBO has asked me to apply a new coat.
