Preparing and Applying Decorative Wood Veneers and Inlays to Substrates
I was doing a bit of research on inlays last night, and came across this excellent downloadable guide. I thought it might be as useful/interesting to others as it was to me:

Very useful stuff - thanks for posting
I'm using more and more veneered board these days, and it helps to be able to discuss my requirements with the supplier in a meaningful way !

Fast tack glues are good sometimes, but not always. Boy I sweated for a moment when it wouldn't fit and I had a slight overlap on one side.
My sledgehammer fixed it though.
I'd mixed fine sawdust with the glue, at 50/50 to ooze out and fill gaps. I think that caused it. Sure made it hard to see what was going on. We live and learn.... Steve
