There are times when I'm not sure whether to be ashamed of being a member of this community or proud of being an instigator

I don’t mind growing old, it sure beats the alternative.

Maybe the new board will have that feature.
I am glad to see that most people know where the line is and very few overstep it.

I've retired from motorbikes. Now I've got another MG (my third). Mind you, I only stopped the bikes because the *****-ex forced me to give them up, so it's only poverty that's keeping me from buying another. Perhaps I should buy that Hogly Ferguson. Mind you, I instructed at an advanced riding day for the Hogly club years ago. At the end of the day, we always had an hour's free time, and one of my students handed me the keys to his Hogly - two weeks old, over twenty grand's worth of m/c. I touched the footboards down on the first lap. On the second lap, I scraped on every corner of the track. I wasn't game enough to try a third for fear I'd wind up dropping the rotten thing.
The Hogly was a nice bike to ride - probably the easiest bike to ride I've ever riden, but cripes, no acceleration, no cornering and they don't vibrate, they leap up and down on the spot. But I always said that one day I'd retire to a BMW - well, I owned one of them, a K100RS that I had for about three years. But the MG is nice - I can scare myself in that and still talk to my passenger. Perhaps I'm getting old.
Cheers
Richard
Hogly Ferguson = Harley Davidson - so renamed because they pull like tractors and handle like pigs
