Child ride on tractor - which timber
Hi
I would like to make a solid wooden ride on tractor for my young (1year old) nephew that he can use for a couple of years and maybe then his mum and dad can put it away for the next member of the family or keep for when ever. I am at a loss as to which would be the best timber to use. I keep thinking along the lines of South American Mahogany but I am open to any suggestion. The timber needs to be lightish in weight but strong. He lives in the country in Qld so it is going to get a good going over.
All suggestions will be greatfully appreciated.
thankyou
