Earlex HVLP 5000 on eBay
I just received my brand new Earlex HVLP 5000 sprayer from Manchester, England, for AU$355 including delivery to Caboolture, Qld, Australia, in 5 days. Unbeliveable I know but true and I saved AU$145 on the Carba-tec price. I asked Carba-tec if they would like to give me a competitive price but they refused. The only thing I got to do is replace the plug to an Australian type which is easy to do. I hope to be spraying shellac very soon.

That's an excellent price considering shipping charges these days.
Are these sort of systems OK for a beginner?
I have a friend who wants to spray some new kitchen cupboards and once the weather gets warmer, paint the exterior of the house. I'm sure I could find a use for it as well.Geoff

I just asked him about the 5000 or 5500 model, they don't sell it. Just wonder what's the difference between the 3 => 4500, 5000 and 5500

I believe the 5000 is old model, it is replaced by 5500. The only difference between 4500 and 5500 is 4500 has 50W less power than 5500, it shouldn't be a big deal.
Still keep thinking I also consider getting the 7000 (same as 6900 in USA), but none of the UK tool online shop want to ship to Australia

I purchased my Earlex 5000 from this ebay seller and i would highly recomend them. Great to deal with and super fast postage. The Earlex is a great unit. I spray mostly nitro and poly. I couldnt find anyone in australia that supplied different size needles so I had to purchase extras from another uk ebay seller.
