    Smile Clean workbenches

I noticed the thread about losing things.
It reminded me that I lose quite a bit of stuff on ocassions.
Usually its 'cause the Minister for War and Finances has been along and demanded that I clean a bench up and therefore one loses the careful thought out position the tool /object was assigned to in the layers of crap covering the said bench.
Be warned dear readers about the dangers of permitting the SO into the confines of the workshop. The inbuilt "clean up gene " that dominates their thoughts and actions will initiate location loss of your good stuff.. My solution is simple, keep building new benches.

    Smile A Clean Workbench . . .

My dear Grahame, please do not allow your MW&F to push you into this most hideous of conditions. A clean workbench is a sign of a sick sad demented mind . You sound like a reasonable fellow, who has a
careful thought out position the tool /object was assigned to in the layers of crap
If MW&F cannot understand this male principle, ask her to clean out the kitchen/laundry/linen cupboards . . . this will engage her cleaning gene and give you some quality time in the shed, looking for the whatit, doohicky, thingo that is on the bench, under a pile of unmentionable items

A man can never have too many tools, benches or beer fridges!

PS I can "clean" my bench and my MBGitW, still thinks it a pile of . . . . .

For the curious, MBGitW is Most Beautiful Girl in the World aka my long suffering significent other/better half/SWMBO/the boss/Shed+Computer+Surf Widow etc etc . . . .

She still loves me, even though I can disappear for hours and have done "nothing" in the shed . . .

A beer fridge is completely unnecessary and out of place in a workshop.

However, a fridge to keep adhesives and finishes from going off is absolutely essential, and often there will be a lot of spare space inside.

Does a frozen bottle of Chardonay make the same noise going through the table saw as a frozen Siamese? I wonder. Here kitty, kitty, kitty

no challenge tonight, it's so cold the cat is in cuddle mode - anyone want a furry shoulder ornament? I'll shellac him before packing.
