Purchasing River Red Gum for a coffee table
In the next week or so, I would like to purchase some KD dressed (or as 2nd choice sawn) river red gum for use in Sydney to build a coffee table. There is some flexibility on timber sizes but as an approximate quantity, I need to be able to get 3.5m of ex 50*50 and 3.3m of ex 250*50 and 3.8m of ex 50*25, all preferably in lengths that are multiples of about 1.1m. It should preferably be good quality material with an interesting grain if possible.
Can anyone please recommend where I might purchase this material? I would prefer to buy in Sydney but the regions will be OK if delivery can be arranged.

red river gum
Try Mal at Boutique Timbers. [email protected], or call evenings 65858296. He has stock of what you want
I know he is coming down to Sydney early March to the Kiama Wood show and could bring the timber to Sydney for you.
Normally provides RS, but he can dress board faces, you would need to finish the edges which is pretty easy with a planer.
Regards
Greg

If you haven't already purchased, get in contact with Brendan - he has a few hundred slabs at his house near Panania, south-west Sydney. He has an ebay store - katyandbrendandop | eBay
Really nice guy, and very affordable timber
