    Default Rocking Horse @ Christmas

This is the rocking horse that I made for my grand daughter for Christmas.

I bought the plans, hardware and head from Enjoy Making Wooden Toys (Phillip Faram).

The head Phillip provides has great detail, whereas the plans only identify a blank head of four 19mm laminates with no detail - obviously if you are creative you can sculpture the head detail as you wish.

I changed the base design recessing the cross members into the longitudinal beam rather than resting the longitudinal beam on top of the cross members.

A most enjoyable project, sanding down to 400 grit and finished with ubeat natural wax.

    Thanks for looking.
    Ray

It is always good to see all the different rocking horses. Especially when they are well made like this one. Good job on the build
