Rocking Horse @ Christmas
This is the rocking horse that I made for my grand daughter for Christmas.
I bought the plans, hardware and head from Enjoy Making Wooden Toys (Phillip Faram).
The head Phillip provides has great detail, whereas the plans only identify a blank head of four 19mm laminates with no detail - obviously if you are creative you can sculpture the head detail as you wish.
I changed the base design recessing the cross members into the longitudinal beam rather than resting the longitudinal beam on top of the cross members.
A most enjoyable project, sanding down to 400 grit and finished with ubeat natural wax.
Thanks for looking.
