HTH lathe
A few pics of the HTH lathe . I spotted this on EBAY , it is a unusual lathe and rare
For its size, it is very solid , with heavy castings .
Bad points are;
The leadscrew is worn at the point where the half nuts have been engaged , whoever used this lathe must have done a lot of thread cutting near the chuck !
The gap is missing
broken teeth on the back gear
missing the change gears
good points :
The ways are in good shape .
It came with a Pratt chuck that seems to be in good shape
It has power feed
the spindle bore is about 1 1/4"
The spindle bearings may be tapered bronze bushes ? Not sure ?
