Weekend courses on finishing?
Hello,
I am new to this formum, and feel I am quite experienced in construction techniques, but feel I would love to attend something like a weekend course on finishing.
What I am particularly keen to learn is "what to use and when and why", and then to understand how to apply.
If anyone knows of such a course or something similar please let me know.
Thanks
Jim

Check out Holmesglen TAFE. They used to run hobby courses on various aspects of woodworking including finishing.Tom

I can highly recommend our benevolent dictator's own publication "A Polishers Handbook". Plenty of info on everything to do with finishing. Available from here.

Thanks for Info
Thanks for your input, I will check out Holmesglen. I have seen the book mentioned, I guess I was looking for practical hands on - the way i learn best.

Hands on learning is best but then Neil's book will complement any course that you do.Tom
