Sanding/Finishing the inside of a Burl
G'day,
I'm looking for advise on how to finish the inside of a Burl that is freeform in shape. I've got it down to a reasonably finish using the cupped buff (tyre buffer), but now I want some sort of sanding pad/buff that will free form to the curve of the bowl... any suggestions?
Also what should I use to seal/finish the Burl?
Thanks

I like the "cupped buff" . What is that?
Does it have a grit in it?

I'm with Tea Lady... what the hell is a 'tyre buffer' and where do you get them?

Also agree with danish oil. I put Trad wax over it as well. Nice and shiny without too much elbow grease.
Googling "cupped buffer" or "tyer buffer only gets doughnut shaped ones.anne-maria.

Re the tyre buff is what is used to rough/buff the inside of a tyre prior the placing a patch on it. They are avaliable from Rema Tip Top the tyre repair equipment suppliers.
