    Default Painting with Compressor

    I have a nice compressor, 13.4CFM @ 40PSI.

What type of spray gun should I use, for painting wood? Is an iwata knock off, which is normally meant for cars, just fine for interior paint too?

    Thanks!

Exactly what sort of paint are you using.

I use "cheap" gravity fed HVLP spray guns for all my spray painting, which has included auto acrylic lacquers, epoxy enamels and water based interior paints.
    Cheers.

Black interior latex, I think it's 'gloss.'

I think latex paint is like our water based "house" paint.

Should spray fine, but will require thinning. I'd use a gravity fed HVLP gun with about a 1.8 or 2.0 tip.
    Cheers.

I found one on Harbor Freight, and some of the customers even mention using it for latex.

    Thanks, mate.

I'm curious to hear more about this. I've been having a rough time spraying latex with my compressor set up.
