    Default xmas pressie

I jumped on the box making bandwagon before xmas and knocked out a few boxes aspressies for family/friends.
This one was for my father who isretiring later this year after 30 years in the A.C.T fire brigade, and in the royal Australian navy for 20 years before that .
It was made to hold his war service and fire and rescue medals, also his father’s (my pop) war service medals.
Made from Australian red cedar, with Madagascar ebony keys and lid handle.

Excellent work, and excellent use of the timber too. I'm sure your father will appreciate it.

Thanks for that. The wife used to get Honer Boards and things updated by them, for her horsey pursuits.

    Default Local timber?

Did you get the timber locally?

I find getting good stuff in Canberra is very difficult.
