Much milder day today but still pretty bad on the east coast, hot, windy and no sign of rain.
Smoke was as bad as a heavy fog this morning and there are no fires to speak of within 100kms of me.Geoff

Hi All.
Reporting from Nubeena in the far South East of Tasmania.
We finally got power back last night, thanks to some amazing work by the Aurora guys and some big generators.
There has been no loss of life to these fires. Thankfully.
Lots of homes have been lost, not sure of the total, but over 100.
You would all have been proud to have been here and seen the great effort put in by all the community and the organisations, such as Fire Service/SES/Council and dozens of volunteers, who turned out to help over the past 10 days.
Paul.I FISH THEREFORE I AM.
