Default Finishing Hardwood floors with a spray gun?

Has anyone ever finished hardwood floors with a spray gun? Most of the information I have read suggests the use of lamb's wool or some other type of mop for the finish application. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I can't see why you'd use a gun. Mess, overspray, thinned down lacquer for the gun - I would have thought all these are contraty to what you want on a floor. And by the time you masked off the walls you could have mopped on a coat.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Spot on Gumby. The other consideration with a floor is the depth of the coating needed for resilience - i.e. the thicker the better. You'd be there an awfully long time doing that with a spray gun...

I've done it with a good quality airless gun; didn't need to thin the stuff and it was quick but the cover wasn't as good as a lambswool mop, brush or roller provides. I wouldn't use it again.

I reckon that you cant go wrong with a MOHAIR roller.

    Quick, easy and no fuss.
