Cherry - you'll find that this tends to be a hobby and do-it-yourself forum, and the average person with a CNC machine here has built it themselves from the ground up, either from MDF or sections of 8020 aluminium extrusion.

This can even go to the level of making their own cable chain for it, because to justify the local price for it, it'd have to be made of gold.

You'll find that made-in-China CNC stuff (either whole machines, or parts such as breakout boards or stepper motors or bearings or whatever) is both loved and hated.

Loved because it is available at affordable hobby prices (even when you allow for an extra 1/3 on the price for replacing bits so it actually works or works properly) rather than the massively marked up prices charged by large engineering supply places, and hated because it often comes with frustrating, poor quality documentation (often just autotranslated by Google, if translated at all), as well as what we would consider as really dumb decisions on critical parts (ie cheap low tolerance bearings on spindles, wiring on industrial machines that doesn't match internationally accepted wiring colours and other things that need fixing)

See here - https://www.woodworkforums.com/f170/t...d-users-96380/ -for some examples of the problems experienced with equipment from China.

Default Hi Cherry From Colbra in Australia

    Hi Cherry
Its great to have you with us on the forum what sort of things do you make from wood. Do you use a CNC machine to make things or do you use more traditional tools.
You may like to show us some of your projects or maybe you are just starting out with you woodworking, anyway its all good fun so please enjoy your journey with us all here.

    G'Day & Welcome "Downunder" Cherry,
There are quite a few "China" on the forum.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Thank you for the photos showing off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodworking.
Cheers from "On Top DownUnder", crowie
