HI there fellow woodworkers. I'm from Pennant Hills NSW and fix old/antique furniture
I have very limited skills when it comes to woodworking. I fell into this when I began to restore some old furniture as part of a community college course. I now try to keep my head above water by restoring antique/old furniture and co-own a little shop.
I guess I like to do things from the old skool. Many old hand tools are far superior to their modern counterparts. Plus they are just nicer to work with. I can see myself becoming addicted to vintage planes and chisels and keeping them razor sharp. I want to learn how to sharpen saws.
As much as I love restoring and fixing antiques, I should like to try my hand at making some VERY simple furniture and learn joinery techniques.
I have recently bought a very old 50s Sawmaster Exceller radial arm saw and really need to find an instruction manual for it for fear of losing a finger or arm.
If anyone has a copy or has info on these saws it would be much appreciated.
I have said my two cents. Let this be the first of many rewarding posts.

Welcome to the forum. There is a big following on hand tools here on the forum of which I am one. The term used for people using hands tools is Dark Side.
If you are interested in saw sharpening then it might be worth a look at this site The Traditional Tools Group (Inc.)
I have attended one saw sharpening session and loved it. I am also a member.
