G'day Mates
I'm Dale Maxim and a woodworker from Gladwin Michigan. I build just about anything including the house we live in, but I'm currently into open segmented turning. I also have a Zen CNC router that I built and a Jon Magill Rose engine that I built and upgraded. I would call myself an intermediate woodworker and turner. I also fly RC electric planes and am an avid golfer ( live on a golf course). I have a wife, Carla, who puts up with me and 2 grown sons. I look forward to learning some things on your web site forum.

G'Day & Welcome "Down Under" Dale,
You're up in the cold rim of the USA; hope your basement is heated.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers from "On Top Down Under" Crowie
PS - I hope all of your friends & family are safe after last weeks storm....

G'day Dale, welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay.
Hope you get something out of it.
If you want to see some great segmented turnings do a search for entries by Powderpost, his work is amazing.
Cheers, Ian"The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot.. it can't be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder it is well to add something for the risk you run.
And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better"
