    Default The p word

Why can you say #### and I can't?
ps I'd better explain a bit more. It has been moved from the pics section where it say "no p-orn". What other words can't we use? I had earlier described the Dictum catalogue as tool p...

Jim, it's to do with spamming and the like - robots looking for the word and then hitting the site (or something like that).

    Thanks FF,
the bit that confused me is that it is actually used in the description of the thread.
ps a long time ago I was on a site discussing favourite detective story authors. It wouldn't accept Minette as in Minette Walters - seemingly that or a similar word is not used in polite society in Mexico!

In case you were wondering, I was the mod that moved your (totally obtuse) post, it only had the first line at the time.

It was in the pics-Non Woodwork section, not only were ther no pics, there was no woodwork, so all you achieved with this is some totally unnecessary work for the mods

I thought TL's response was about all it needed.

Sorry for all the work Fred. It's sometimes hard to realise that one's train of thought is not clear to everyone. I was looking for and found a thread where it clearly said No P... in the advice at the beginning.

The reason that the P word gets blanked out is very simple.

This site is one of very few that can be accessed by students on school computers, a fact that Neil and I are proud of.

Google lowers your rating based on search terms if they contain certain words, P is one of them.

Thanks . A clear, polite and logical explanation to a convoluted question.
    Cheers,
