Jill - nicely done, the finished job looks great.
You've certainly managed to bring out the colour in the timber. I often wonder if there is a market for custom picture frames made from REAL timber......for people who want a handmade moulding with nice colour/figure instead of the mass-produced rubbish I have to work with every day !

Jill You have done a great job. Speaking as a 40 plus year Carpenter mitres are not the easiest of joints to make. A house full of windows and doors that need architraves gives you plenty of practice. But you know even after the countless number I would have done They still need plenty of concentration to get the right. Milling your own stock is another area that needs careful work. You only have to let the stock move ever so slightly off the fence and the mitre at that place will give you head aches. Top marks to you Jill I will be looking for your next project with interest
Just do it!
Kind regards Rod
