    Default Steam Bentwood Chair repair

repair3.jpgHi, I have a 70s Danish wood and leather recliner. The steam bentwood frame has started to split on the curved joints.
I am an amateur and are unsure which glue would be best to try to repair, the glue needs to allow for the wood to remain flexible:

Forget it mate you are not going to save that....well not with glue anyway.

If you like the chair and you want to "repair it".

Go to IKEA and buy a "spoang" armchair.....nearly identical and transfer the upholstery onto that.

BTW that is not steam bent it is laminated.

    cheers
Any thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
