WHat are these windows?
Hi everyone.
I have an old weatherboard that i am doing up and shortly i am going to be needing to redo these.
They are pretty tight due to paint but do still leak a bit of air. But the major reason i want to renovate them is that i want to add double glazed panels to them.
So before i start asking question regarding them, i though i would find out what they actually are.
From what i can tell via the searches i have done, they are single hung (as the top pane does not move), 5 pane, wooden windows.
They are somewhat rare due to the large center pain from what i can tell. (Well the local 2nd hand shops have none , plenty of triples and doubles but none like this)
They seem to be somewhat new, as they have springs rather than sash cords and weights.
Anyone help me out with some details.
Chris
