South west of west ozzie
Should have done this last year but been busy and usually just have a quick read..
At the moment I got a wicked flu, so sittin on bum writing instead..
I built a pram a few years ago, may finish soon but the kids have had lots of fun with it, only complaint is no centre board so when i tow it with our runabout, they complain about gettin wet, poor drowned rats, NOT...
I have been into boats, on and off, all my life.. had a drought of about 15 years or so while trying to become a Lindsay Fox.. Failed, no more trucks...
Since then just been doing stupid things..
There is a member on this forum, thats a friend of mine, one day he will tell me his nickname and we can all pick on him...he is one of those silly buggers that turns wood all the time(honestly I think turning it once a year is enough)..
I have plenty of motto's but I like this one "If it's not broke, then let's break it so we can fix it"..
One thing to say for now, I am not a carpenter or cabinet maker, best thing i can do is burn the wood in our fire place.. But mechanical things are fun.. Tho I do love wood, my Father was a chippy but taught me how to handle horses, the rest I learnt from destroying cars, tractors and a few minor trucks..Boats was about the only family trait I gained, and that was from my grandfather, a fisherman from Pirie SA...
Ok that's enough dribble for now...
Don't forget, I can duck, so don't hold back on the stirring, it's the spice of life...

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "souwester".
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for the most, very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Now get of your backside, get well & enjoy some woodwork without setting fire to it.
Cheers, crowie

Thanks Christos,
I prefer a hot lemon and honey drink with a good dash of scotch, it supposed to kill the bugs but don't seem to keep them away...argh
