Carba-Tec Heavy Duty Tablesaw Fence
Bought this Biesemeyer style fence as a fix to the default fence which came with the table saw
Pros
Easy to mount. Fitted my tablesaw (although it belongs to a lower end of table saws) perfectly
Solid metal railing no flex
Fence locks securely and requires quite bit of push to move it
Fence height adjustable to cater for different table saws
I was able to set it very close to the table top so i can cut very thin material
It is much longer that my original fence thus increasing the precission
Easy to use
Quite easy to align.. took me about 15 min to proper align it..
Cons
I'm finding the nut on the back glide screw is becoming loose with longer usage... nothing that bit of loctite wouldnt fix
The grub screws for adjusting the angle are very short.. allowing the adjustment of only about 0.5 of a degree
Mine fence was off by about 1.85 degrees ... (blame the table saw mounting holes)
quick trip to local bunnings.. bought a longer grub screw and problem was fixed
Bit expensive
General
Well this is a huge improvement to the original fence...
As I have few projects requiring ripping of full plywood sheet, this fence came on top.. Once locked it is very firm.
It is much longer than my original fance, making it much easier to navigate full sheet straight...
It really glides on it railing allowing for smooth and easy setup...
Another happy purchase.. Although a bit pricey... not regretting it..

Nice review. Thanks for posting. A good fence is, hands down, the most important thing in a tablesaw (imho anyway). no point in a saw that don't cut straight!
