Lightbulb I had a lightbulb moment last night

Here I have been saying for a long time that I know absolutely nothing about CNC machines.

Then I realised that the Computerized Sewing Machine I bought over 20 years ago was a CNC
It was under $3.000 in those days, I could make designs on the PC, even scan designs and transfer them to the sewing machine which then did the design without me touching a thing.

    Nothing new under the sun

CNC machines predate the sewing machines by about 50 years

My point was that I believed I knew nothing at all about CNC and then I realised I had used one for over 20 years

    Cool

Yes I know Wolffie. I was commenting on your end remark about 'nothing new under the sun'.

    AHHA, misunderstood that.
However, it is as true as true
I remember about 40 years ago walking into a place that made embroidered school uniform badges.
All those machines, side by side, run by those enormous rolls of ticker tape, that was even before they used those paper cards with little holes in. Can't for the life of me remember what they were called
    Punchcards?
