Help finishing Timber benchtop
Hi All,
I am currently install timber benchtops in my kitchen at home. I have used the numerar oak kitchen benchtop and am unsure what to use to seal or finish them. I m looking for a durable finish that requires minimal maintenance and also some thing that is safe in the kitchen. i would not be cutting on the benchtop but food would touch them.
Do i need to use an oil product as ikea says they oil them in the factory?
Is there a clear finish like Cabots CFP that would be suitable?
I have noticed many people using a product called waterlox, is this a good option available in Australia?
Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
