Default What's up with Google Earth?

I've just noticed that the pictures are not matching up with the locations that they're attached to. It's happening on both my desktop PC and my laptop.

GJ, just checked out a few of my favourite spots and they all seem to be where they are supposed to be.

Try ckicking on a camera icon and see if the image matches the location.

If I click on the camera icon at Agnes Falls in the lower right of Victoria I get images for a tropical island, definitely not Victoria .

I don't have an explanation, but I've noticed the problem for quite a while now.

I've had a similar problem where a variety of web providers - including Google - get my location wrong. I suspect it had to do with the ISP's routing giving my location as the point where the data packets leave their network & go into the public network, which in turn confuses the target system.

Of course, there are a number of complete dunces in the US, some of whom continue to think that anyone south of the Rio Grande speaks Spanish, or that Australia is a small landlocked country in the middle of Europe - it seems that 'No kangaroos here' t-shirts are a popular tourist item in Vienna too.

    Default No Probs Here.

    Hi John & Others,
Tried my Address earlier today, but no cameras, but Location was actually better than before.
I also noticed that the Photo was done earlier in 2012, against, I think 2009.
    Regards,
