lasting bamboo finish
I'm making a fountain in my garden, and this is the first time I'm using bamboo. I'm not much of a woodworker, and I just want to know what I should finish it with. I was thinking linseed oil, but what other steps should I use?

hi mate, bamboo has to be one of the most beautiful buildings materials in the world...i made a traditional bali bamboo lounge from big bamboo and new nothing about how to finish it of so ended up varnishing it with feast watson satin proof, that was about 5 years ago and it still looks great...for outdoor use though you could use an exterior varnish like weather proof or spar marine, this will give a long lasting shine, or for a more natural look linseed oil or any preservitive oil would be fine but you may have to give it regular coats...
