    Default Darwinian Selection At Work

I didn't know where else to put this link, as we don't appear to have a forum for 'Idiots of the Year'. Anyway, if the linked videos don't send a shiver up your spine they should do. 2nd video is particularly scary, yet the guys still appears to have all his appendages.

Calling that guy an Idiot almost seems like a compliment, he is much worse than that but mere words fail me.Brian.

OK number 2 is pretty stupid but listening to the guy it's not that surprising

Number 1, I guess you could argue that it's not really that bad. All he's doing is coving, which is a common enough operation on a tablesaw - but there's usually a fence to run against which makes it easier to control. There's only 1/4" of the blade protruding. Granted it's not the safest practice around though. A router would be better. Or a chisel.

#1 isn't really that bad as long as he is only taking tiny bites. In the end he stuffed it up anyway. It isn't the easiest method. It would be easier and faster to make score cuts with the saw and finish if off with a mallet and a chisel. He is a tradie so who do you expect. His only chisel didn't lookn that sharp and is covered with paint.

#2 is a silly act for no reason.

That's what I thought he was going to do and probably how I would have done it if the router wasn't handy. Or if it wasn't so wide, I would do it on the drop saw.

When I saw he was coving, I thought "hmm, never thought of doing that". Probably still wouldn't...

The only problem with the title of this post is that you have to die as a result of your stupidness to get a Darwin Award. These guys are flirting with the idea though, I was wincing at every cut.

Like the way how #1 darts off momentarily comes back shows all it's a chisel, not just a sharpened piece of stick. But I do like his square.#2 hard to say whose got more teeth, saw or operator. And who the hell is boom boom(maybe the rescue dog) in case the meat wagon doesn't make it.
