alternative to two pack top coat??
hey guys,
is there a quality alternative to using two pack for spraying cafe table tops? i want something that is very durable, but does not have the hazards of two pack..

You are talking colour coat and not clear, aren't you? Straight epoxy enamel is pretty good.
I actually cheat and add 2 pac hardener to epoxy enamel to make it even harder and glossier.Cheers.

thanks for the tip!
however i did mean clear coat.. i think two pack is just too much of a hazard to be using all the time

Well some sort of acrylic clear auto lacquer or single pack poly may be your best bet.
... just had a thought - you can get iso-free 2 pac finishes (the iso[cyanate] being the bad stuff). Never used, so can't comment.Cheers.

Good quality single pack flooring polyeurathane is about as durable as it will get as a single pack.
the trick is to let it cure out properly before putting it into service.....at least a week in summer....and don't use gloss....satin will not show the scuffs anywhere near as much.
