Q. Info on Toledo Chisels
I have over the past few years collected Toledo Bevel Edge Chisels, Made in Sweden.
I cannot find detailed information on them.
Having a good range, I can now see differences, different metal stamping (Font), different size stickers (Whats left of them anyway), and even the timber handles seem slightly different, some feel heavier than others. Some have Toledo Steel Made in Sweden on the bevel side whilst others have it on the underside.
Can anyone give me some assistance in trying to establish the different types of Toledo's, perhaps even dating them.
My apologies for re-listing this thread, but it was suggested to list under Hand Tools Un-powered
Thx
Jas

Looks a lot like these that were apparently made by ESKILSTUNA, probably branded for export. Good luck finding much info on them.

Toledo chisels
My set are black plastic handled - are as good as my Bergs
- I bought them new in Nock and Kirby's hardware in Parramatta in the latter half of the sixties - probably 68/9
It could have been their brand for hardware stores
