Zinc plated components in roof space and inside external wall cavities?
Hi,
Wondering what the opinions are on using zinc plated components in roof space and inside external wall cavities, such as screws, conduit saddles, stud mounting brackets, etc? They're technically indoors but often a harsher environment than your average indoors.
What initially triggered my thought was that my gyprock ceiling was originally attached using galvanised nails, but noticed most plastering screws I've seen are only zinc (passivated)?
Cheers
FR
