How to support beams?
Gday,
Im OB'ing a new house(2 storey), in the garage area I need to support the bearers that hold up the floor joists (beams will eventually be supported on engaged pier brickwork).
I need to support a 6000 long steel UB, & about 6 timber beams (just one end of the timber beams, as the other end is supported by the timber frame).
I am thinking about using those timber slabs 200x100(?), maybe 800 long HWD and arranging them in a square pattern, like house movers temporary support under houses. where can you buy hire them, other methods?
Are there other options other than hiring acrow props, buying them? where from? other methods?
Thank you
cheers
