    Default Saving posts

Is there a way of saving a thread or post for later viewing. I have read through the FAQ's but there doesn't appear to be any referrence to it.
Also what is the "My stuff" label for at the bottom of the "Shortcut bar" on the left of the screen?

Sorry for the delayed reply, bit under the hammer for the last week or so.

No need to save a thread as they are all stored on here and not deleted unless inapropriate. If you want to you could book mark a thread to read later.

You could click on Thread Tools and in the drop-down click on. Subscribe to this Thread Thread tools is in white on the top bar directly above the thread you want to read/save. Su`bscribing will give you a notification whenever a post is made in the thread. You can unsubscribe in the same way if you no linger want to be notified.

The main thing you want to do is find it again before it disappears so copying the url and pasting it anywhere safe and permanent will do this for you even just pasting it to notepad will do the job.

If you know the thread name name eg this thread "Saving posts" you can do a search or advanced search.

As for the "My Stuff" in the side bar. I see you've already found out about that.

Hope this is of some help. If you can find this thread again.

    Cheers - Neil

PS Surprised there wasn't any response to this one.

That's interesting, 'My Stuff' doesn't actually come up as a hyperlink for me. I'm on IE9, and the last link I can access on the sidebar is 'Woodworking Australia'.

    Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Sorry folks but get ready to forget about MY STUFF as there's a major upgrade coming shortly and it's more than likely it will disappear for some time until I can figure out a way of implementing it on the new forum.

I love it. Got lots of important stuff in there that I use all the time and save lots of time by using it. I for one will miss it badly.

    Sorry - Neil
