It's Slim's long-lost evil twin brother: Slightly Podgy Dusty.

Andrew I suspect knows who this is, Burl Ives indeed, wrong, this person is alive and well and is considered to be one of the worlds greatest virtuoso's on this instrument.
He also has a friend who lives in Red Hill Vic when he is resident in Australia.
He also had a friend in Spain who was considered the Father of this instrument.

I included a picture of the late Andres Segovia who was a friend of the person in question, sorry I was not clear, but Ndru gave a very substantial clue and this person is very much alive and well and, for memory 70 years old.
    It is not Paco.

Now I'm thoroughly confused  . Andres Segovia died in the 70's I think. So why put up his picture if the artist concerned isn't him and is still alive?

Sorry, I was as clear as mud, Segovia was claimed to be the greatest virtuoso of guitar, the original picture is crrently held to be Segovias replacement, as well as being a great friend of Segovias.
I inteneded that as a clue but it did not come out very well.
Segovia died in the mid 80's at about 95ish, leaving behind his young wife and 23 year old son.
Hence he was my mentor (I studied very briefly with Segovia in the 60's prior to getting my AMEB 8) and I hope to live as long.
Now to the original question, it is not Segovia, nor Williams.
Another clue, he is English and was self taught and performed on a regular basis at Wigmore Hall and has recorded albums with Williams.

Andrew's clue. I originally thought it was a play on guitar-lute but it was a clue that the guy plays the lute as well as the guitar.

    This one should be easy:

Bloody awful image, it won't enlarge but it looks like either Peter Sellers or Al Grasby.
