you beauty
hello i now have 4 inputs to make the lathe run forward and one for reverse.
My bottom lip came out when i first tried RST and the others for Forward.
and nothing happened. Then i remembered to change Pd 001 back to 1.
After this and checking to see if the inputs were still as programed the spindle
turned forward with the 4 spate inputs.
Well this is great now all i have to do is
wire the lathe so it runs forward and reverse with the lathe switches
choose and wire a suitable pot for my variable speed.
replace the cross slide spindle and investigate cross slide gibs.
get auto feed working in both directions.
mount my 4 jaw to a L0 backing plate
replace the carriage hand wheel and rear tail stock bushes.
fit my cool light to the lathe.
fit machine feet and level the machine.
find and fit a rapid thread turning attachment.
Stuart and Ray thanks a lot for your guidance with this problem with out it im shore i would be putting it of for a while longer.

Hi Aaron,
Great news!
Is PD044 still 2? Did you try the FOR terminal to confirm it doesnt work while the others do?

no Stuart i didn't check it.
After all this i feel slightly stupid for not catching on. After all they are called MULTI function inputs.
As well as a bit stupid im feeling a bit smart for getting it going.
So thanks for the help.
