and, after all, I'm still not ready again! the old varnish of th whole casting was stripped off with a wire brush mounted on the angle grinder. A whole day of work. I discovered that ALL the putty on the casting was a sort of chalk powder that rusted all the under casting. And the casting was full of craters and valleys where the rust was hidden. well, really a lot of work. But after all, as we're saying, we're almost done. primed and painted. and, of course, with a picture af the rehabber. Or the quite-rehabber, I've not tried if it function or not. If not... someone of you need a doorstopper???
