Jan 17 2005: Buy a new Bosch IXO cordless Li Ion screwdriver, the one in the biscuit tin, bit dubious about the size but more torque than I anticip[ated and worked really well, not for big heavy jobs but a nice little unit for those fiddly little things where the 18v cordless or even the 12v is a bit cumbersome.
All going well until:
Sunday 1 May 2005: Little beastie had a massive coronary and just stopped, Monday 2 May it has it's final journey back to the hardware shop from whence it came.
No worries scream they, Bosch are really on the ball and fix these things real quick.
Yeah Yeah, heard all this before.
Wednesday 4 May 8.30am, phone rings, it's the hardware shop, your IXO is back, the batteries crapped themselves, went in and picked it up, same tin but a new driver unit and charger.
A big greenie for Bosch for such prompt service, seems when they are told of a faulty unit they arrange a courier the same day to pick up and fix as soon as it arrives.
I'm impressed.
