Tracking Drum Sander Conveyer Belt
I have just installed a new conveyer belt on my Performax drum sander and it tracks quickly to the right. I have followed the manual advice and tightened the adjusting nuts on that side but to no effect. I am used to this adjustment and it worked well on the old belt. I have altered the tension on the belt and even turned the belt around but it still moves rapidly to the right. I have replaced the old belt and it behaves perfectly and can be adjusted. The internet has numerous references to this problem (not only Performax) but no actual solutions. It does seem to be the belt itself but what is the solution? Any suggestions?

lay the belt on a flat surface and measure if the belt has parallel ends, it may have been joined up on a slight angle?
