    Default Greetings from Canberra

Hi guys. I just decided to get back into woodworking after a long hiatus. I am familiar with how the various tools work, but am now buying some and starting to learn a lot more. I own the basics, circular saw, belt sander, band saw, router etc, and today I bought a new Wood Lathe. Wish me luck!

Oh Definitely! I am trying to decide if I should purchase a bandsaw, or put a timber blade on my metal bandsaw right now...

How big is the metal bandsaw? It you do go the direction or a timber blade will the speed be the same? Can always keep this as a backup if needed if you purchase a new bandsaw.

Well I got one ordered, so we will see how it works. I know the speed is pretty slow, but I guess the blade is cheaper than a new saw if I find that I don't need it.. Should I move this thread to somewhere else?
