Hey all from Melbourne
G'day all.
I bought a lathe a few weeks ago for the old man for Christmas, but it seems that he has no interest in it at all, so I'll go and repossess it and play with it myself! I love the look of some of the pens people make, so I can certainly see myself getting involved in that, and maybe the odd bowl or two.
I've always been a handyman, but haven't done any serious woodwork ever, so looking forward to building myself some shelving and maybe a Holtzapffel bench (not 100% decided on the bench I want just yet) to start building stuff for my first child who was born in August this year.
Cheers!
Paul

Congratulations on your first born. You are going to have to get something else for your dad unless you spend time together.
Do post work in progress this is one way to engage the rest of the world.

Shame your old man didnt take to the present you bought for him but that is your gain and his loss. I am sure you will have lots of fun with you new toy.
Reality is no background music.
