Porsche assembly films from the '50s - interesting viewing
I just came across this link. Most metalworkers would be intersted to see work and working conditions of other era I suspect - even if you are not interested in cars as such.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for posting that, interesting to compare with a documentary I saw earlier this year on the current Porsche production line. I think it was called "Mega Factories" or something like that..

After 11 year of restoration, I sold my 356A last year. Still miss it.
This is a famous movie among old Porsche buffs. I only had a VHS copy. Thanks for the link.

I sold my last 356 (also an A) in 1997. I still award myself a head slap for that every so often. I've had lots of 911's (not to brag...they are so cheap to own they're almost free motoring), but the 356 really gets under your skin.
