A visitor in my shed
I opened my shed door this afternoon and this fella was staring back at me... I'd like to tell you I scared it more than it scared me but I suspect this is not the case
I thought it was a blue tongue at first but no bands on it or blue tongue. I did a little research and suspect it's a Cunninghams Skink. Anyway, we caught it and had a look. My boys had a pat then we let it go again in the shed. No idea if it's still in there or made a run for it but I hope it hangs around for a whileIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Had a big Brown Snake (male) slither through the shed week before last, came within a foot of me and kept right on going.
Sure got the heart pumping!
Early spring, warm day and out they come.
Here's a shot of his girlfriend (taken through a window!)

Looks like a Cunningham skink. We have heaps of them ranging up to 400mm long. When I was camped in their shed one summer they got quite friendly and would eat out of my hand. Never seen a snake anywhere near where the lizards live - perhaps there is an invisible sign "reptiles already in residence - no further vacancy". Sure suits me!!

Hey Biggie,
You are not wrong with the heart pounding bit, Makes you stand real still, almost to the point of dumping some snake repellent down the trouser leg.
That rasping sound they make as they race across the concrete sends shivers down my spine.

Nice reptile.
I went to my shed last night to have a possum sitting in the doorway. I don't like them as they stink.
This is my recent shed visitor. I nearly put my hand on him on the bench. Lucky I had the gloves handy to remove him.Terry B

I dread finding a possum in my shed, they're vicious buggers.

Yep, once you have been sprayed with possum pee you never forget it, smelly blighters. Much prefer skinks.
The lizard is not starving by the look of it Corbs, must be plenty of tucker in your shed for him.
Cheers
