Default Help wanted with EMCO REX b20 thicknesser planer

Hi all, I am new here and know enough about woodwork to hammer in a nail. I like working in steel. Make a mistake and just weld it up and start again. My reason for joining this forum is that my Dad passed away recently and I have had to dispose of his machinery. I think that I was taken in with his bandsaw and don;t want to be done again. I currently have his EMCO REX b20 thicknesser planer and have no idea what it is worth. Like all his machinery, it is in very good condition. Can anyone give me some idea of what it is worth and if you know someone that may be interested in buying it. My father was a patternmaker at Walkers Ltd in Maryborough Qld initially, and then became a Manual Arts teacher. He had a love of timber and woodwork and was a craftsman in his trade. If someone can help me I would be I would be most appreciatitive. I am in Toowoomba Qld. Thanks for your time, regards John Thomson.

Sorry to hear about your father. Not able to help with your question on the value of the band saw. It is tough to get rid of things you do not know the value of the item. I sure that someone might give you an idea here or on one of the other sub forums. Might be worth posting in the general or machinery subsection of this forum.

If you are only into metal work then this is still a good place to be as there is a metal work section on this forum.
