Hi All
Hi Guys
I'm from Melbourne, and new to metal work.
I look forward to looking around the forums and making a positive contribution.
I recently stumbled across a Myford ML7 Lathe at what seemed like a good price, but I am no expert.
What price does a second hand lathe go for? It comes with a few accessories, chucks, cutting tools, etc.
Cheers
Shaun

Welcome to the forum. Not able to answer your question. You might get a general reply on price unless someone actually purchase a second hand one recently.

Hi Guys
Thank you all for your warm welcome.
So I bought the Myford ML7 lathe (pictures to follow). It has seen a little more work than I had thought and I suspect there may be bearing issues as one of the drip oilers has cracked and is empty
The bed has certainly seen better days and will require some work.
Overall I am a little dissappointed with the condition of the lathe, but I am sure it can be fixed. I will inspect further and see what needs to be done. If it requires anything more than superficial work, I think I will go ahead and restore it to original condition.
Cheers
Shaun
