Overseas Transaction Charges now billed by Visa for PayPal eBay Purchases
My wife has discovered that since the 15th August, her HSBC Visa Card has introduced an overseas transaction charge on any PayPal transaction when buying goods from overseas eBay sites. It is an additional 3% charge on top of the exchange rate (less fees) offered by PayPal.
I have a Mastercard and on checking it for eBay transactions after that date, they have not as yet jumped on the bandwagon. So at this stage it looks like I'll be using my Mastercard for overseas eBay purchases via PayPal.Kev

Thank you for the heads up, I'll keep an eye on mine.
