How ever I renewed my desk top link and all is back to the regular speed. So I suspect that this maybe a common problem with those of us who use a link to logon.

Its running at the speed of a dial up connection on a 286 computer. I can't read all the previous posts because it would take all night to get through the pages.

Damn slow here tonight, I find the speed varies a bit (between slow and painful and I am on ADSL2) one thing I have found is that when you want to use inverted commas it doesn't put them up and will often put the first one at the point where you are closing the "Quote"" just like there I had to hit it twice and then had 2 of them at the close end. I have also found that some of what I type doesn't come up, and I am not a fast typist, and often have to go back and type in what is missing which is when it seems to also miss things out just like the inverted comma thing. oh and just discovered my emoticons don't want to work!
I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.
Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.

The response times have been spasmodic here on the Gold Coast for a couple of days. At about 5pm today I gave up trying to refresh the new posts page, I eventually got the text but only about half the images came up before I walked away.
