OK I admit it. It is bothering me. :mad:
12 becomes 13; each of the 12 has to give up something to make the 13th.
By cleverly arrange the position of the bodies. (The horizontal line meets different part each body.)
Shift the top half to the right by 5 positions and you get the 13th man.
