    Default Refrigerator

I have a friend that has a fridge that is making noice once every 5 minutes or so. The noise is more like a grunt grunt a sort of purging sound.

It does not effect the working of the fridge as it still maintains it cold in both compartments.

What are people thoughts on why this is happening and if it can be fixed?

    Hi Christos

    age of the fridge??

We had this happen on our last fridge often on fridges with self draining pipes which run into a plastic container it makes a noise then or if the gas is getting low or oil depending on type of set up.

This is not something you repair yourself unless you have the right gear and know what your doing old fridges can be very dangerous due to the gas used.

The fridge is about 8 years old. The make is an LG model number GR-262SQ.

Not really able to tell you what else as I am not sure what I should be looking for.

Now that really interesting. Normal to have a grunt on a fridge.

I would like to figure out why it grunts. Then see if this is worth resolving.

The best part would be that I end up making it worst by doing something to it and then the fridge no longer kees things cold.
