Default my new (for me) lathe

Gday folks thought I'd share what followed me home over the weekend

This an Elpha brand back gear type lathe made in taiwan early 80's fitted with an aussie D/C motor with 5 speed forward and reverse controller. The stand is a home made 10mm angle iron affair with the bed made fom 250x75x10mm rectangular tube milled flat.
It will take me a couple of weeks to prepare the area in the shed for this so wont be using straight away
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

Have you considered while you have the Lathe off its stand/base of making up a suitable swarf/coolant containment tray.

Looks like another Lantaine. They are tried and true. Well done.
